Battlefield 6 Ultra PC requirements reveal the need for an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX

Battlefield 6, published by EA, has had its Ultra PC system requirements revealed ahead of its October 10 launch. The new specs reveal that native 4K Ultra requires at least a GeForce RTX 4080 or a Radeon RX 7900 XTX, along with ample fast RAM and a powerful CPU.

Native 4K at Ultra settings is designed for high-end graphics cards. Balanced and Performance targets are more forgiving: Balanced aims for 4K at 60 fps on Ultra, while Performance targets 1440p at 144 fps on High. If you want to run the game without upscaling, look to the Ultra column.

Minimum Recommended Ultra
Graphics settings 1080p at 30 fps (Low) Balanced: 1440p at 60 fps (High) / Performance: 1080p at 80 fps+ (Low) Balanced: 4K at 60 fps (Ultra) / Performance: 1440p at 144 fps (High)
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT / Intel Arc A380 Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580 Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 / AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
CPU Intel Core i5 8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Intel Core i7 10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Intel Core i9 12900K / AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM 16 GB (dual-channel 2133 MHz) 16 GB (dual-channel 3200 MHz) 32 GB (dual-channel 4800 MHz)
Storage 55 GB HDD 90 GB SSD 90 GB SSD

There are a few consolation prizes. The minimum line still supports a mechanical drive, allowing an older budget rig to run the game at Low settings, while mid-range cards will reach the Recommended bracket. Got an RTX 4070 Super? You might be a bit short of Ultra, but upscaling can close the gap.

EA has also discussed not relying solely on DLSS for performance, which suggests that native rendering targets were a design focus during development. That discussion is worth reading if you’re balancing native fidelity against frame rates. With the October 10 launch date looming, there probably won’t be more public betas to test your exact rig before release. If you plan to play at native 4K on Ultra, budget for a high-end GPU and fast DDR5 RAM; otherwise, the Performance/Balanced presets and upscalers will be the practical route.
