The Battlefield 6 Open Beta preload is officially live across all platforms, letting players get a head start before the beta kicks off. This is your chance to grab the download, check system specs, and see what rewards are up for grabs during the testing weekends.
So, what’s the deal with early access? It starts this week for select players, and the beta itself will be available to everyone shortly after. Let’s break down the essentials.

How to Gain Access to the Battlefield 6 Open Beta
While the preload is up for grabs by everyone, early access is kinda exclusive. You get it if you:
- Are a Battlefield Labs member (even if you missed earlier playtests).
- Subscribe to EA Play Pro (PC only).
- Grabbed a multiplayer reveal code from last week’s streamers.
Early access runs from August 7 to August 8. Then, the open beta will be open to all players during these weekends:
- August 9-10
- August 14-17
Battlefield 6 Open Beta Dates and Rewards
Early access lets you test out maps, modes, classes, and weapons, but doesn’t come with rewards. The actual open beta weekends will offer cool stuff that you can carry into the full game launching in October. Heads up: character progress will reset after the beta.
WEEKEND 1 – AUG. 9–10
- SEEKER SOLDIER SKIN
- ALL TERRAIN SOLDIER SKIN
- DOMINION WEAPON PACKAGE
- LIGHTS OUT PLAYER CARD BACKGROUND
Decals and other goodies might also pop up closer to the dates.
WEEKEND 2 – AUG. 14–17
- WAR MACHINE VEHICLE SKIN
- BAT COMPANY DOG TAG
- STRIKING DISTANCE WEAPON PACKAGE
Oh, and if you’re on console, you’ll be able to use mouse and keyboard for input, which is kinda neat.
Battlefield 6 officially launches on October 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Ready to jump in? I sure am. Maybe we’ll cross paths and swap dog tags during the beta… if I can sneak up on you.
