Battlefield 6 just kicked off its Open Beta early access, but players are facing some serious waiting times with server queues topping 200,000 in some spots. It’s the biggest Open Beta the franchise has ever had, and the devs are already on the case trying to smooth things out.

The beta went live at 1 AM PT on August 7. Right before launch, the official Battlefield Comms Twitter account acknowledged the queue problem. They explained that queues are necessary to keep the servers stable and protect the player experience, especially during peak times like launch.

A quick note about queues and Early Access / Open Beta.

Since this is Battlefield’s biggest Open Beta ever, we’re putting in the work to ensure that players have the best possible experience and servers remain stable.

To support this, we will use queues to protect the player…

— Battlefield Comms (@BattlefieldComm) August 7, 2025

Queue lengths vary quite a bit. When I launched the beta at 1 AM PT, the queue was around 179,660. Thirty minutes later, it dropped to about 99,060. But some players starting up the game now are seeing queues as high as 250,000. Wow, that’s a lot of people waiting!

More players are getting in as time passes, but if you manage to get inside, don’t restart the game or you’ll have to jump back into that monstrous queue. Are queues this huge a good sign that a lot of people are hyped? Or just a server nightmare? Guess we’ll find out as the beta continues to run and the devs tweak things. For now, patience is the name of the game.
