EA’s Battlefield 6 will get a dedicated fix for in-game audio after developers confirmed a full pass on sound issues, the team’s principal game designer said on X. Florian Le Bihan replied to player reports about missing footstep audio and other sound problems, saying “the entire in-game audio is receiving a full pass to solve those issues, including fixing some issues that caused some sounds to completely cut.” Le Bihan added the team is still verifying the changes and hopes to share more specifics soon.
The thread also covered mouse-and-keyboard problems reported since launch. Le Bihan confirmed fine-tuning mouse sensitivity “broke with the last update” and that will be corrected in the next patch, and that Class-related keybinds will be removed from the keyboard after the next patch.
Player complaints have focused on not hearing enemies approaching, a basic competitive handicap in a first-person shooter.

Battlefield 6 has been on sale recently as the publisher leans on promotions to boost its playerbase, the game dropped in price during Black Friday sales earlier this month. The launch window has also brought other tuning conversations around the game, such as map size and player counts under review by the studio, which was covered in a separate update about map design.
For players, the fixes on footsteps and sounds that cut should be a top priority because audio is one of the few cheap, high-impact ways to make firefights feel fairer without touching weapon balance. If the studio’s verification catches edge cases, the next patch could make a noticeable difference to competitive play and general survivability in matches.
