Battlefield 2042’s scoreboard feature will arrive in March 2022

When you ship your game without some core features such as SCOREBOARDS, especially for a first-person shooter game, and you meet a huge backlash for it, you shouldn’t just forget about it. It’s not like you can forgive yourself for the huge miss. Instead, you should listen and obey the inquiries set by the fans. Well, EA DICE seems to be working on it, but slowly, since it will need more time to deploy this feature in Battlefield 2042.

Set in a large-scale environment with the support of over 100 players at the same time, players are not able to pay attention to their success during the game. Instead, they have to wait until the end to see their overall position in points. It’s not even kills-related since assists can quickly overtake those with the highest kill count.

EA had to do something about it since the fans craved the long-forgotten scoreboard feature. The Scoreboard was promised as a part of an upcoming update that should arrive in February. Sadly, it won’t become a reality because its previous update caused a mess, and the scoreboard update had to be replaced with yet another hotfix.

The deployment of update 3.2 caused other issues, which made EA drift from their Scoreboard update, forcing them to deploy a hotfix for all the problems caused by it. Indirectly, this has moved the Scoreboard update to a later date in early March.

Our next Update after todays Hotfix will now roll out in early March. This is a change from our last messaging to you all on it's intended release.

The extra time will help to ensure we improve the quality of our Updates, and include additional changes.https://t.co/WoeHvOludK

This delay has caused additional turbulence among the Battlefield 2042 community, as fans haven’t reacted to it positively. The statement met a harsh response by the fans of the franchise, criticizing the lack of effort provided by the developers.

So, what have we learned from Battlefield 2042? Well, we found out how a rushed video game could be a laughing stock for everyone, humourous as it can get. We do not know if this is a developer or publisher-related issue. In any case, publishers should stop giving developers a deadline, especially if it’s an AAA project of this caliber.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
