Avowed, Obsidian’s Xbox-era RPG, will arrive on PlayStation 5 on February 17, 2026, with pre-orders listed at $49.99. That price is $20 less than the game’s original $69.99 launch tag, and Microsoft adjusted Xbox and PC pricing to match the PS5 cost as of January 9.
The PS5 listing on the PS Store product page also shows a Premium Edition at $59.99. The Premium Edition includes a digital artbook and soundtrack, two player armors, and eight companion skins. When Avowed first launched, the Premium Edition cost $89.99, so this is a notable drop in the add-on price as well.
Microsoft originally sold Avowed for $69.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, though the game was on Game Pass at launch. The recent price change means buyers on all platforms now pay the same pre-order price as the upcoming PS5 release, which may sting for players who paid full price within the last year.
This move fits a wider context of Xbox studios bringing titles to Sony hardware. A Bloomberg report published earlier covered teams’ interest in wider platform releases, and Microsoft’s pricing update looks aimed at widening Avowed’s audience ahead of the PS5 launch.
Avowed earned an 80 on Metacritic at release and drew positive attention from RPG fans. Microsoft will be hoping the new platform and lower price lift the game’s profile and sales.
