Avowed, Obsidian Entertainment’s first-person fantasy RPG, arrives on PlayStation 5 on February 17, 2026, after a year as an Xbox exclusive.
The PS5 launch opens pre-orders on the PlayStation Store soon. The game is set in the Pillars of Eternity universe and sends players into the Living Lands to investigate a spreading plague. Combat mixes melee, magic, guns, and shields, and companions play a major role in the story and combat encounters.
Alongside the PlayStation release, Obsidian is shipping a large anniversary update on all platforms. The patch adds a New Game+ option and a Photo Mode. It also introduces a new weapon type, new playable races, and other features that expand character options and replay value.
The move brings Avowed to a wider audience and adds long-requested systems for players who want to replay the campaign with fresh builds and visual options. Expect the anniversary update to be available on Xbox and PC at the same time the PS5 version launches.
