Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will receive a free update on December 5 that adds a third-person camera and a New Game+ mode. The 2023 open-world shooter from Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment will let players toggle between first and third-person “at the push of a button,” according to the developer. The developer says it reworked animations, controls, audio, and the camera so the new viewpoint feels right.
Massive says the New Game+ option will let players replay the story while keeping their inventory and skills, but with more challenging enemies, a new skill tree, and stronger equipment available. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have been credited with those details in the report; the update arrives ahead of the Avatar: The Way of Water follow-up release window for the franchise’s film slate. The switch should be welcome for players who liked the game’s visuals but wanted a different camera. For completionists, the New Game+ promises fresh reasons to restart with the loadout they’ve earned. The update is free and launches December 5 on supported platforms.
