Atlas Fallen, an action RPG developed by Deck13 and published by Focus Entertainment, struggled to capture a significant market share. Released in August for PC and current-gen consoles, the game received a lukewarm reception from both critics and gamers, which inevitably impacted its market performance.
In a recent fiscal report, Focus Entertainment openly expressed disappointment over the sales of Atlas Fallen. This underperformance notably affected the company’s profitability in the first half of the ongoing fiscal year. The report further suggests a bleak outlook for the game’s future contributions to revenue, expecting them to be “very limited” in the coming months.
Despite the initial setback, Focus Entertainment is not stepping back. In a move that indicates commitment and optimism, the company has announced plans to release “an enhanced version and new content” for “Atlas Fallen.” This new push is slated for the first half of the next fiscal year, targeting a release window between April and September of 2024.
