Asus ROG Ally X Specs Reportedly Leaked

It looks like Asus is preparing to shake up the portable market again with a more powerful version of their popular ROG Ally: the Asus ROG Ally X. While official details are still under wraps, some leaks have surfaced.

According to a recent report by VideoCardz, the new ROG Ally X will keep many of the features we loved about the original. The Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU will still be there with 8 Zen4 cores and 12 RDNA3 CUs. Plus, the 7-inch 1080p display with a 120 Hz refresh rate is sticking around.

The battery is getting a huge upgrade with an 80 Wh capacity, doubling what the original offered Additionally, the RAM is getting a hefty boost to 24 GB of LPDDR5. That’s a substantial increase that should make a big difference in performance, especially for multitasking and running more demanding games.

Another welcome addition is a second USB-C port, which is great for those of us who need more connectivity options. Yes, it will be a bit heavier, around 70 grams more, and about 4.5 mm thicker, but I think the trade-off is worth it for the enhanced specs and battery life.

Now, here’s where things get a bit weird. We still don’t know the price or the exact release date. Asus is keeping those details close to the chest. But if these leaks are anything to go by, the ROG Ally X is shaping to be a fantastic follow-up to an already impressive device.
