It’s always thrilling to hear new content from our favorite games. Well, if you’re a fan of Astro Bot, you’re in for a delightful surprise! The game is expanding its universe even further with more cameo Bots. Today marks the release of the last of five free DLC speedrun stages, but the excitement doesn’t stop there. Recent game credits updates hint at additional beloved characters entering soon.
The newly released DLC stage showcases not just fun gameplay but also introduces some charming cameo Bots. However, it’s worth noting that many characters listed in the updated credits haven’t yet appeared. Fans have spotted mentions of iconic figures such as Rayman, characters from Assassin’s Creed, and even Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, all waiting patiently for their turn in this vibrant world.
Recently, a keen-eyed community member on the Astro Bot Reddit page uncovered fresh updates in the game’s credits. Among these was a reference to “Tomba! Special Edition © 2024 WhooPee Camp.” This addition raises anticipation as it signals that several IPs are still yet to be featured. We can expect more surprises with only two cameo Bots appearing in today’s DLC stage!
What Lies Ahead?
This brings up an interesting point regarding future content plans. During a visit to Team Asobi, it was revealed that discussions were held about ten challenge levels alongside five speedrun levels (which we’ve now completed). While we eagerly await news on those challenge stages, it’s comforting to know they are likely on their way since exciting character cameos are still pending.
If you’re like me, you probably can’t help but daydream about which beloved franchises could join this whimsical cast next! Will we see our old friend Rayman bouncing around with Astro? Or perhaps embark on an adventure alongside characters from Beyond Good & Evil? The possibilities bring a smile as we imagine what’s next for these delightful little Bots.
As always, I’ll keep my ear to the ground for any news or updates on this charming game. Until then, feel free to share your thoughts below, what cameo would you love most?
