Assassin’s Creed Shadows Patch Introduces Long-Awaited Auto-Follow Feature

A recent update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows brings a long-requested feature that many players have been eager to see. This first significant patch might be small but adds a much-needed mechanic to ease traveling across the game’s vast landscapes significantly. If you’ve been longing for a smoother horseback experience, keep reading!

The latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed series has included a quality-of-life addition that fans have come to appreciate: auto-follow. This handy mechanic allows your trusty horse to automatically find the quickest route to your destination when you press a button during your ride.

Interestingly, this feature was absent at launch in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, leaving many players puzzled. Thankfully, the upcoming major patch from Ubisoft is finally being implemented. This news is a relief for those who prefer horseback travel over fast travel and enhances our enjoyment of traversing Feudal Japan.

I must admit I’ve been favoring horseback riding purely for its aesthetic charm rather than efficiency. Now, I’m quite pleased to be able to lean back and watch as my steed finds its way through the picturesque settings without having to micromanage my path.

Hello Ubisoft! It would’ve been lovely if this feature had debuted right from day one, but I’m happy it’s coming soon enough. Following this update, let’s hope there are more treats in store; past DLC expansions from Ubisoft have always impressed with their quality.
