Ubisoft has clarified that Assassin’s Creed Mirage won’t include gambling or lootboxes. As mentioned by the developer, Mirage is supposed to take us back to the roots of the series, with a narrative-driven campaign that will allow players to just course through the main story without walking astray. However, players have been worried about the potential of some extra revenue.
Over at Eurogamer.net, Ubisoft reassured fans there’s nothing to worry about, despite the fact that the Xbox store listing warns that Mirage contains “Real Gambling” too. They particularly stated that the mentions are error and that no gambling or lootbox mechanisms will be present in the game.
Following the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage during Ubisoft Forward, some store pages mistakenly displayed the game for preorders with an Adults Only ESRB rating. While Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still pending rating, Ubisoft wants to reassure players that no real gambling or lootboxes are present in the game. – Ubisoft spokersperson told Eurogamer.
