Twitch streamer Asmongold had an unexpected mishap when he fell through his ceiling while trying to locate a foul-smelling dead animal in his attic. Known for his candidness about his less-than-tidy living space, this incident adds another chapter to his ongoing household challenges.
Asmongold has long been open about the state of his home, even joking about using the smell of a rotting rat as a morning alarm. His streaming room was previously cluttered with fast food containers and other debris, vividly depicting his living conditions.
Asmongold’s photos reveal a hole in the ceiling above a hallway, exposing the framing and insulation inside. The floor below is scattered with debris from the attic, showing the aftermath of his fall.
He explained that while investigating the source of a nasty smell in his attic, the floor gave way beneath him, causing his foot to break through the ceiling. “Took the day off to find some dead animal in my attic that smelled bad and ended up falling through the ceiling!” he tweeted. “Pretty sure I’m living in Sen’s Fortress.”

The post quickly drew reactions online, with some questioning why he doesn’t just buy a new house or hire someone to handle the problem, especially given his financial success.
This isn’t the first time Asmongold has suspected a dead animal in his home. In June 2024, he admitted being overwhelmed by the smell in his house after returning from a hotel stay, saying he was about 70% sure there was a dead animal somewhere inside, along with mold and other issues.
Asmongold’s living conditions have become a recurring topic among his fans and the wider gaming community. One memorable moment was when a cockroach crawled on him during an Overwatch stream. His home’s state even inspired a joke from the creators of Power Wash Simulator, who claimed even their game couldn’t clean his place.
It’s clear that Asmongold’s house has its own personality, and while he’s made some progress cleaning, incidents like this show there’s still work to be done.
