Bohemia has revealed ARMA Reforger’s first official single-player campaign, Operation Omega, a five-part mission set on the upcoming Kolgujev map. The reveal follows a private playtest tied to the game’s 1.6 branch and marks a clear shift from Reforger’s multiplayer-first launch. For those unaware, Arma Reforger was, and still is, the gateway to Arma 4, which should allow Bohemia to develop the game faster and easier, which is scheduled to arrive somewhere in 2027.
The campaign surfaced after content creators joined an early 1.6 test, showing a scripted raid by American special forces targeting Soviet infrastructure on Kolgujev. Footage from creators shows the missions played without commentary, with the operation focusing on stealth, objective-based infiltration, and extraction scenarios rather than cinematic boss fights.
Bohemia’s ARG-style teasers, led by the in-universe agent Krzysztof ‘Klamacz’ Bielawski, dropped encrypted messages that referenced upcoming patches. Many of those clues pointed to patch 1.5, which is currently in the public experimental branch and being tested by players. Read more on the 1.5 experimental testing here.
Project lead ‘Klamacz’ posted on Reddit that the Kolgujev map and the content shown to creators were moved into the 1.6 branch rather than 1.5. The change was described as a branch decision, not a stability fix, and the team framed the two upcoming patches as steps toward a larger update rather than separate, unrelated drops. ARMA Reforger launched in 2022 with a heavy multiplayer focus, including official servers that supported up to 128 players and a broad modding scene that expanded scenarios and eras. The single-player campaign is the first complete narrative mission set by the developer that has been released since leaving early access.
Bohemia has not announced firm public release dates for 1.5 or 1.6. Community chatter places 1.5 within the next few weeks, while 1.6 remains undated. Developers have confirmed 1.6 will include one of the most requested features for the update branch, but details and timing are still pending.
