An Italian hotel in Campitello di Fassa called Hotel Stella Montis has been flooded with five-star Google reviews from players of Arc Raiders this month. The entries treat the real-world lodging as if it were the games Stella Montis map and praise in-game features such as loot, a Seed Vault area, and an “eventful” Night Raid scene.
Reviews began appearing about a month ago. One early post from a user named Bad Wolf said “everything is great” then added that “players sometimes spawn just 10 meters away from me.” Other reviewers wrote in-character notes such as “Hey, Raider! Don’t shoot!” and warned about hostile Arcs in ventilation shafts.
Several entries treat in-game mechanics and loot like real hotel features. One reviewer described a Night Raid visit where they encountered flute-playing kitchen staff and were rescued by a Venator-wielding “hotel manager” after a fight at the metro entrance. That same reviewer wrote that they returned to Speranza and sold 45,000 credits worth of loot.
Another reviewer filled out Google’s category fields and listed “High-tech” as a highlight, called the layout “a bit of a maze but that’s the fun part,” and advised guests to “take plenty of bandages.” A different review praised the hotel’s Seed Vault as “surprisingly charming” and said a robotic sandbox “was a hit with the kids.”
Players sharing the bit have been linked online by the Arc Raiders Alerts account on X, which highlighted the surge of gaming-themed reviews. The trend mixes humor with real consequences. Some users have left low scores complaining about “the abundance of rats,” and those one-star entries could harm the hotels real bookings and staff. Google offers a way for business owners to report inappropriate reviews, but it can take time to process complaints.

Arc Raiders maps are modeled on real-world locations and photography, which helps explain why players recognized and targeted the hotel name. More on the game’s real-world map inspirations is available in a report that shows how some Arc Raiders levels draw from actual places based on field data. The five-star reviews mostly read like in-jokes and roleplay among players, but they have a real effect on the hotel’s reputation and business. Owners who find the trend harmful can follow Google’s reporting process while the ratings settle.
