Fans of Battlefield, today might be a good day to live. Amazon has had started sending beta codes to all those who have pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 through Amazon. This makes us think that the beta is not too far away, even if the game got delayed to a later date earlier this month. If it occurs on the same date as previously specified, we think Battlefield 2042 beta might hold its place on September 22.
Earlier this month, Battlefield 2042 release was delayed to November 19, saddening the whole community and leaving no room for joy. Predictions have come out that the beta will also be shifted to later, rather than occurring on September 22. So, why does Amazon started sending Battlefield 2042 Beta Codes?
On Reddit, a user has posted how he was contacted and given a promotional code for his BF2042 order, which after redeeming, turned out to be a code for the Battlefield 2042 Early Access Beta.
There are different submissions regarding this subject, and one could mean that the beta is not as far as everyone thinks. According to Amazon’s product description:
Pre-Order Battlefield 2042 for PC by September 23rd, 2021 to unlock early access to the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta. Must be shipped and sold by Amazon. Codes will be sent within 24 hours of the early access start date.
Today is September 21, meaning that Amazon might’ve forgotten to alter the beta date after the official delay of Battlefield 2042. Previously, the dates were set as follows:
- September 22 – Early Access and accessible to pre-orders
- September 24 – Open to Everyone
Some users have received a promotional code a lot earlier than this, leaving us without any significant indicator for a potential Beta phase on September 22. So, there’s a big room for a possible misunderstanding by Amazon. Whether a beta phase is susceptive or not, we’ll have to wait until September 22 and see what happens then.
