Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is scheduled to arrive on Friday, November 14, and Activision says there will be no early access, putting an end to widespread chatter that parts of the game might appear early. The rumor machine went into overdrive after a few public mentions and a PlayStation listing that suggested the release might be split. Streamer comments and a leak post suggested the full release could move up a week or that special editions might let players jump in early.
One of the sparks was a streamer saying he had heard talk of an earlier launch window, and a credible leaker posted a possible date change on X. PlayStation Game Size also showed a pre-load on November 9 with Campaign/Zombies listed for November 10 and Multiplayer for November 17, which fed the idea of staggered component drops. That all looked convincing enough that some outlets and posts briefly carried claims of early access starting November 11, but those mentions were updated after conversations with the publisher. Activision has since confirmed to CharlieIntel that the launch date remains November 14 and there will be no early-access period like the ones seen for 2022s Modern Warfare 2 or 2023s Modern Warfare 3.
If you saw PlayStation listings showing November 10 for Campaign/Zombies or a Xbox in-game timer showing other dates, those entries are either provisional or incorrect as final release timing; Activision says the official global launch is November 14 and there will be no staggered early openings.
Translation: pre-orders and special editions will not grant a sneak-in week, so plan your install times accordingly and don’t scramble for early unlock tricks that aren’t coming.
