A leaked trailer popped up, and guess what? It’s about a new Sonic game that’s giving off some severe Fall Guys vibes. The Sonic Show on YouTube revealed some footage, and the game seems to be titled Sonic Toys Party. This game seems to be competitive with up to 32 players, throwing them into a mix of races and battles across various stages.

The trailer flaunts a lineup of fan favorites like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Rouge, all decked out in quirky costumes and hanging with their Chao pals. Following this unexpected sneak peek, Sonic Stadium came through with the scoop, thanks to a tip-off from someone called Midori who’d hinted at this game before. They shared that this sneak peek came from a beta version recorded last summer, hinting that the final game might have a few surprises in store.

Slated for release in the middle of the year, Sonic Toys Party is shaping up to be Sega’s big leap into mobile gaming. They’re not just keeping it in the family either, with plans to team up with other big names like Persona and Saint Seiya.

As per Sonicstadium.com:

  • The trailer itself seems to confirm some additional details, including cosmetic items (we can see a Sonic in a top hat) and Chao companions.
  • The trailer also seems to show multiple currencies, including rings and blue gems, and there are different sections that appear to be for a store front, settings, chao and “premium,” which is presumably connected to in-game purchases.
  • Much like Fall Guys, players need to place at a certain threshold to quality for the next round, with thresholds of 16 and 8 shown.
  • In addition to races, we can also see a red vs blue team mode, some sort of points-centric mode, and some sort of elimination mode that seems to involve a Death Egg Robot.
  • Levels seen include Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Silent Forest, Lava Mountain, and Ocean Palace.
  • A variety of enemies can be seen, including Aquarium Park’s Egg Pawns, Buzz Bombers, and Motobugs.

It looks like gameplay of the upcoming (as-yet unannounced) #SonicTheHedgehog mobile game 'Sonic Toys Party' has been leaked. #SonicNews
