Focus Home Interactive published a brand new video about the game set in the 14th century in France, A Plague Tale: Innocence. As a player, you will have the opportunity to relive the moments of a young girl named Amicia.
The first episode of the game focuses on two characters and siblings before all, Amicia and Hugom whom suffering never ended. As the press reads:
This first episode focuses on child siblings Amicia and Hugo, the two main characters of A Plague Tale: Innocence, and their unique bond. These children encounter 14th century France from a similar perspective as the player, an unknown and dangerous place that they barely understand but must survive. As the realities of the world of adults press down on them, their familial love will be tested, and they must work together to overcome the terrifying rat plague and pursuing Inquisition alike.
A Plague Tale: Innocence promises to introduce a new and fresh experience driven by a strong narrative. Amicia lives in probably the darken times of life, in which she needs to take care of her little brother, which in fact acts as the encouraging hero in many cutscenes.
As a player, it will be tough to survive in a world without order and set of rules, full of exposal to everyday violence. Amicia’s humble character will break by the need to survive. The necessity to keep the little kid alive will transform her into a coldblooded murderer. Breaking the innocence has always been a tough job to do, however, the need is always stronger than the will.
