Amazon is sending out invites to pre-order the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. Earlier this week, customers were allowed to request these invites, and now we can confirm that they are beginning to arrive for users in the UK.
The invite allows recipients a limited 22-hour timeframe to secure their pre-orders. Currently, the price for the console alone is £395.99, while a bundle that includes a digital copy of Mario Kart World is £429.99.
As for delivery expectations, Amazon estimates that consoles will be shipped on Saturday, June 7; however, this might adjust closer to launch day as more information becomes available. The official worldwide release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 is Thursday, June 5.
The official My Nintendo Store plans to launch its pre-orders on April 8. It contacts select Nintendo Switch players across the UK and Europe to provide them with early access opportunities. According to a notice on their website: “To reward the most dedicated Nintendo Switch players in Europe and the UK, the opportunity to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2 console from My Nintendo Store will initially be offered on an invite-only basis to selected Nintendo Switch Online members.” Invitations will be sent based on membership duration and gameplay activity.
