Apparently, the development of Resident Evil 4 Remake may face a delay due to unexpected significant changes. This has been caused by the major shift in leadership due to disagreements over its direction, as VGC stated.
The new studio is shortening the role of original team M-Two for a swap for Capcom Division 1. This may cause a vast overhaul, with the new team stepping up and shaping RE4’s remake. If this occurs, it may be a word for a completely new direction.
Resident Evil 4 remake is in development since 2018. The original studio behind was M-Two. Now that M-Two’s role has been deducted, it all falls in the hands of Capcom’s Division 1, which is also responsible for Resident Evil and Devil May Cry games.
This would cause a considerable overhaul and potentially delay the release of Resident Evil 4 remake, which is not very tempting for the fan base across the globe. Resident Evil is a beloved franchise that sounds very strong in the gaming industry.
Having to be rebooted is not very welcome, and due to this course, the game’s expected to face a delay to somewhere around 2023.
