The first beta weekend for Battlefield 6 has wrapped up, and many players noticed something odd: kill times felt unusually fast. It’s the kind of thing that changes how you approach the game, mainly if you’re used to older Battlefield titles. Principal game designer Florian Le Bihan is aware and actively looking into it.
Le Bihan shared a tweet with a funny clip from American Psycho, showing Patrick Bateman heading into the office while listening to Battlefield music. The caption? “Me this morning, on my way to the EA Dice office to read some Battlefield 6 Open Beta feedback and fix some bugs.” It’s reassuring to see the devs are paying close attention.

He also asked players to send him any video clips showing what they think are super bullet or unexpectedly fast time-to-down (TTD) moments during the beta. A Twitch partner reported getting “insta K.O.’d” despite only seeing their character flop without clear hits. I felt like I got taken out before I even had a chance to react a few times myself. Maybe that’s because I’m so used to the slower kill times in older Battlefield games like 3 and 4.
Another player suggested damage might be getting batched and then sent all at once to the client, which could explain moments where you take cover during a shootout but suddenly get hit with a bunch of damage at once. That would be frustrating, to say the least.
If you have any clips showing strange kill times or damage behavior, sending them to Le Bihan might help the team figure out what’s going on. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something to play while the beta is offline, check out this list of great FPS games.
