343 Industries is working on new projects and not just Halo

343 Industries, the developer behind Halo Infinite, has indicated a shift in its developmental focus. The game, which didn’t meet the expectations set by both the studio and Microsoft, is transitioning from its current model to an Operations model. This change means that no new seasons will be added to Halo Infinite. Instead, the game will receive support and unique content in a different format.

During a recent community livestream, John Junyszek, the senior community manager of 343 Industries, confirmed that the studio is fully committed to supporting Halo Infinite in the future and is actively working on new projects. “We have a dedicated team working on supporting Halo Infinite and continuing to deliver new content going forward, but also, yes, we have additional teams that are accelerating towards the future, working on brand new projects,” Junyszek said.

This strategic pivot comes after reports from early last year indicated a significant restructuring within 343 Industries. The restructuring reportedly involved the studio abandoning its in-house Slipspace engine and adopting Unreal Engine 5 for future projects, marking a substantial shift in their development approach. This move was later seemingly corroborated by the LinkedIn profiles of several 343 Industries employees, which hinted at a new Halo game being developed using Unreal Engine 5.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
