Square Enix has shared the official PC system requirements for OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0, confirming the game will use Denuvo anti-tamper technology. This prequel to the original OCTOPATH TRAVELER introduces some new gameplay features, and knowing the specs helps players prepare their rigs ahead of its December 4 release.
The game adds a character creation system, letting you become the hero for the first time in the series. There’s also a town-building mechanic where you can rebuild your hometown and invite allies and travelers to settle there. The classic Break and Boost system returns for strategic battles with an 8-character party, chosen from over 30 travelers.
Minimum specs require an AMD Ryzen 3 2300X or Intel Core i3-8100 CPU, 8GB RAM, and either an AMD Radeon RX 470 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 GPU. This setup targets 1080p resolution on low settings at 30 FPS. For smoother gameplay at 1080p ultra settings and 60 FPS, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400, 16GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 5600XT, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, or Intel Arc A580 graphics card.
Interestingly, they went with Windows 11 as the OS requirement, which might be a bit limiting for some. But hey, that’s how it goes sometimes.
